4 years now with a stoma and seem to have done well (I fib a lot! lol). I drink a lot of juice throughout the day and never seem to have a problem. Recently, I began to drink cranberry/strawberry juice. Do you think cranberry juice might be the cause of diarrhea?

Probably the sugars in the juice.

Stop drinking it for a week and see if diarrhea stops.

First and foremost, this is a place where you’ll meet great people.

The conversations in the forums are energizing, intellectual, poetic, hilarious, and deeply informative.
This is a grown-ups community (18+) - a place to find true friends who talk about hobbies, stories, things they’ve read, learned, and lived.

It’s also a place where everyone has an Ostomy.
Which makes it kind of convenient - you can simply ask, and you’ll get honest, thoughtful answers from people who truly understand.

I’ve only been on this site a little bit, I hardly know how to navigate it, LOL! I just want to say that everyone seems so kind and supportive to each of the members and it’s not only helpful, it makes me happy that there really are so many nice people in this world that can sometimes feel so bleak and cold. I didn’t even know about this site until I found it by accident. I think the hospital staff should bring it to their patients’ attention. Thanks to all, even if you’re just listening!

Cranberry juice is not your typical suspect for diarrhea, but as Hibiscus alluded, sugar is a primary suspect for diarrhea. Diarrhea leads to dehydration, so make sure you are rehydrating.

I drink some form of cranberry juice daily. I've never had diarrhea as long as I've had my bag.
