Long-Distance Dating: Holding Onto Hope and Staying True to Yourself

I know that the reality is that actually getting to know someone on this site who is long distance is far-fetched, but I still believe that it could happen.
I know what I am looking for, the type of person, beliefs, and so on. For many years, I had given up, mainly because I was married for a long time, and he passed away. It's hard meeting new people, especially with our newfangled bodies.
This post is not intended to be about me; it's about all of us. If we know exactly what we're looking for, then we just have to go for it! We're not getting younger, and meaning no offense to anyone, we're not getting much healthier either! I will always have hope for what I'm looking for!

Always stay true to yourself, and quite possibly you will find exactly the person you are intended to spend the rest of your days with.

Hi there, I know you would appreciate a quick note from a guy who has actually found just such a long-distance wonderful friend not just once but twice! I found true love on the site about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, I lost the beautiful lady to a heart attack from a blood clot unrelated to her ostomy, and it broke my heart. I thought I would never find such a beautiful person ever again.

In the past year, I have been lucky enough to find another friend on the site and will be visiting her at her home in the next few weeks. The long distance is ...Ireland ...San Francisco and now Ireland/San Francisco and Florida!!! How much more long distance could it get?! ☘😎.

I wrote to lots of ladies and eventually found someone on the same wavelength. I instinctively knew and could feel the connection we have over a period of about a year. When you really connect, you will feel it in your bones ...and your belly LOL! That nervous twitch in your gut!! when that connection happens.

Just write to lots of people, just to say hi and see what happens. Take it from me, it can happen, don't give up!!!
