Returning from my Las Vegas trip, I contracted the worst cold. Sneezing, coughing... for 2 gosh darn weeks. Didn't ride my bike, only rode the living room couch. Good news... the parastomal hernia didn't get worse. My 4-inch wide Nu-Hope belt worked great. Didn't take it off for 10 days. Finally feeling better, I got pneumonia and shingles vaccines yesterday... resulting in sore arms.
Tiring of the couch... I bid the slumbering Mrs. B adios this morning and hit the beach. Slightly windy and cold... but no matter... Ostomates are tough.

Bolsa Chica tidal inlet. Tide is going out, making this area look like a river.

Stopped at "Dwights" on the beach for some cheese strips and bubblegum-flavored shaved ice. Sometimes... you just gotta have it.

The view from my table. If you zoom up the picture, Catalina Island appears out of the haze.

I paused at the channel and discovered this Great Blue Heron enjoying the day.
Right after I put away my camera, an Osprey swooped down, snatched a big fish from just below the surface, and zipped away quickly.
Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
