Stealth Belt Experiences and Advice for High Liquid Output

Hello everyone,

I had an ileostomy done in August 2024. Thinking about buying a Stealth Belt to help with support and comfort. The horizontal one looks best in terms of concealment, but since I go through periods of high liquid output every day, I'm not sure this is the best choice. Has anyone else had a Stealth Belt? Any advice would be appreciated in advance.

Hello Rosemary.branson.jones,

I have the Stealth Belt, the neoprene vertical. However, it has an extension for the bag. I was using it for water sports activities. However, I did have a few... mishaps. My doing though, as I jumped off a really big couple of cliffs. (Swimming in cenotes in South America 😁) My bag popped off... in a large swimming area.

But it worked well for the gentle activities. And it gave me a nice confidence boost for water activities!

Also, contact the company! They used to be able to bill to insurance with a doctor's recommendation! Just tell your doctor that it will help with your quality of life; that typically works!

Best wishes,

Luke

I do not recommend contacting the company. I've been waiting 6 weeks for a reply on how to place a custom order (I'm a double ostomate so the standard belts won't work). I've followed up a few times and still nothing but a canned autoreply message.

If you can order off the website, you should be fine. I've heard great things about the stealth belt but they are clearly having issues of some sort with communication.

If you can order off the website, you will

Thanks SusanT!

It's a shame if that's the case now! I've had mine for 2 or 3 years. But just an ileostomy, so didn't need to special order. The customer support was good back then, utter shame you're having a horrible time. I hope you're able to get it rectified! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help! I'd even call the company for you and gripe at them! You just say the word! 😉

Best regards,

Luke

Lol thanks for the offer. I've tried calling but you can't get a human or even leave a message. Although I haven't tried impersonating an ostomy nurse yet... maybe that option would work? The other options just send me back to the website. It's like they lost their customer service staff.

I'm trying hard not to trash them too much because I keep hearing good things about their products. But I am severely annoyed.

Rosemary, I have multiple Stealth Belts (horizontal, vertical, neoprene, etc.), and use them all depending on planned activities. As an active firefighter, I am typically wearing a vertical type. I usually have mine on 24/7. I won't leave the house without it on. Littlefish
