Well, mostly. For the pool, I was so afraid of leaks that I bought a swim bottom meant for menstruating women, labeled as “waterproof.” I know! For swimming! Ha. I wear them under my longer boy short bottoms with a loose tank top.
I haven't had leaks, but I feel more confident. 👍

Great place for newbies to learn, I have helped many folks on here learn to irrigate, plus learned a few tricks myself. Great informative site.

I think Warrior also wears the menstruating women's bottom... it must be catching on!

Don't fret, Bro... you look FABULOUS! I swear!

Ziploc... glad to hear you've gained some confidence! What's summer without a pool!

I think I'd be rather embarrassed going into a shop and purchasing them. How far do they rise? My ileo is just up and to one side of my belly button. Still a bit unsure of going in a pool at the moment.

Just put your normal bathers on and also what the ladies call a boob tube (this holds the bag close too without flopping around). If it's too tight, buy two and sew them together, then a T-shirt to cover it all up.

Good luck for next Tuesday for your Ken Butt.

I love the water, spend a lot of my summers at the river, and for women with an ostomy, a tankini is the best!!!

I think that's a great idea! I might need to steal it if I ever get near the thought of a pool again!

Ileostomy here - 5 years… Swim frequently in the home pool… no special requirements. Convatec appliance has never leaked… swimming is great exercise - not to worry…

After swimming, remove the pouch and take a totally naked shower…👊

Iggie's boob tube suggestion works great - my son has even picked them up for me when he sees them in Primark.

I made the mistake just once of swimming in a tanking with regular bikini bottoms... the bag kind of took on a life of its own like one of those floats the wild swimmers use... it didn't leak, come loose, or anything but was so distracting!

On the other hand, I've scuba dived and I kayak regularly and never had any incident (so far 😉). Off to chuck my kit in the car to head out in my boat tomorrow!
