Is anyone but me having issues with the "New" Invisi-Close system on the Convatec pouches? In over 30 years with an ostomy, I have never had an issue with the closure coming open on its own. Since they came out with the new version and reduced the area of attachment on the closure by 75%, I have had seven accidents in six months. I have talked with Convatec, but they don't seem to think it's a big deal. I have a hard time believing no one has experienced this but me.

Sorry. I never liked Convatec products. Any particular reason why you chose them?

I'm not sure what an invisi closure is. I still use the flange and the separate bag with the plastic clip that I have used since I was 44 years old. They sent me new products to try, which had a bag with a Velcro thing. I really didn't care much for that, and the flange was kind of awful, I thought. Go back to the old ways.

This group has been my go-to during my loneliest hours whenever I've had a "bag blowout" at 3am and there was no one else in the world to talk to.

Because it's a global community, there's always someone here to lend an ear, provide advice, and just hold my hand if that's all I need.

Sure, there's also a lot of camaraderie, fun topics, and laughs, but the main reason I come here is for the total acceptance I get from the members. No one else on the planet could possibly "get" what I'm going through, not even my loving husband or supportive family.

The "Meet an Ostomate" forum is definitely a one-of-a-kind family, which I am very proud to belong to.
