Orabase Discontinued: Seeking Alternatives for Stoma Care

I have been using Orabase Protective Paste (by ConvaTec) for the relief of minor irritations—in my case, the stoma. The ST nurse advised me some months ago that they are discontinuing it and there is no replacement product. Does anyone know of another product that is similar? I've found one that deals with mouth ulcers, but I don't think it's the same product.

I haven't used it for years, but I was also told that Convatec Orabase had been discontinued. I looked online for an alternative, and the closest I found was Kenalog in Orabase, used for mouth ulcers (Convatec Orabase could also be used for this).

However, the Kenalog contains a corticosteroid, which I would be reluctant to use on peri-stomal skin.

I'd try Bonjela instead; it contains no steroids, and as it's used for teething babies, I don't think it would harm the skin. It can be found in most supermarkets or chemists.

For irritation around the stoma, I use Convatec Stomahesive Powder; it's available on the Australian stoma appliance scheme, product code: 3511T-25510.
