Hi,

Somebody tell me, other than contact or even with contact, what are some of the better things to use for a high-output small storm? I see the clickable ones, and I don't know what that's all about. Right now, the only ones I've been using that actually work, because I had a previous surgery in the middle, are the Hollister with the belt option. Advice?

Awesome talent you got there.

I understand you have an ileostomy. You don't have leakage. Rather, you solved that issue.

You have high output and no large intestine anymore.

The click accessory is awesome but bulky. It's a 2-piece system. Drainable and non-drainable are some options.

One piece is good for some.

Using a belt/flange helps prevent leaks and keeps that bulge back in place.

I'm not sure exactly what your question is... it sounds like you have a decent appliance already.

So welcome. Others will chime in. Sit tight.

Incredible talent with charcoal.

YouTube has videos of most appliances. You can check that out.

This site was a true lifeline when I first became a member back in 1997. The support I received during the time of a critical time in my life.was greatly needed. I met so many wonderful people that became like family. And fell in love with a wonderful woman from the UK. Visited here and later had her come to me here in the states.

I have to agree with warrior on your artistic talent. Just wow!

I'm guessing you are using a 1-piece system... that's when your wafer (the part that sticks to the skin) is attached to the bag. These are, by far, the simplest systems, and many people love them.

The clickable ones are 2-piece systems. In that case, the wafer and bag are separate pieces. They attach together by clicking together like Tupperware. One advantage is that you can change bags without changing wafers. So if there's a problem with a bag, snap it off and snap on a new one. One disadvantage is that the 2-piece system is bulkier under clothing. There are more pluses and minuses, but I'm just giving you the idea.

It's probably easier to advise if you tell us what you are looking for or what problems you are having.

Thanks! I went into depression when I came out of surgery and went home. I left the hospital a few days early (AMA) and got home to my fiancé, and the first night fell asleep without a bag and ruined our $400 comforter. I hit her with the worst of this thing, and now that I am getting the hang of it, our personal connection seems to be out the window. Any advice? This is a pastel portrait I did of Clint Eastwood from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I have not had the motivation to draw a stick figure, lol.

That's tough.

You can try to mend bridges. Do something that she enjoys. Make her the center of attention for a little while. Really listen to what she says. You've been sick and needy, not your fault. But relationships need to be reciprocal. Don't tell her... show her.

Success will depend on her. You can't control that. All you can do is your best.

And while you are at it, do something to nurture yourself. You can't give love unless you have some to give.

Consider seeking some professional help. An antidepressant might be just the boost you need. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It is not a weakness. I worry that you aren't drawing on your incredible talent. Also, depressed people often feel disconnected from loved ones.
