Please help, any suggestions on how to keep my ostomy pouch from slipping during these heatwaves?

First thing I would suggest, as it's cheap and easy to get hold of, is roll-on deodorant. It's what used to be used before all of the new products we're lucky enough to have now were available.

Hello fellow ostomates, my life has changed since I met this wonderful French Canadian lady on this site on 3-17-2013. We were married on 12-20-2014 in Phoenix, AZ.

Never had an issue with heat/humidity. 🤷‍♂️

Try using Coloplast "Brava Elastic Barrier Strips" part 120700. They are pretty tough and really hold your appliance down.

I only use one per change by cutting them in half and placing them on opposite sides of my bag (top and bottom or left and right). Saves money.

Call Coloplast and get a sample first.

Haven't had a problem with heat or sweat. Just with showers. Hopefully, that is going to get better soon with a new product. Try this Torbot bonding cement. It removes with adhesive remover but sticks on pretty tightly. Put it on your wafer; it comes with a brush to brush it on your wafer, and then give it a minute and apply it to your skin. Should hold pretty well.

I wear an ostomy belt to help secure mine. I live in the desert, which gets extremely hot. I don't get out much during the day.

A belt would help, like Hugo mentioned.

I do think extenders help (I also live in a state that gets humid in the summer, albeit a little less than in Florida). At times, I will also cut an extender in half. It might depend on how much time you spend outdoors.

After having an ileostomy for 2 years, I'm finally in the process of trying out ostomy support belts. I order a couple at a time from Amazon and return them if I don't like them.

Probably the easiest solution is to use a belt for your bag. Also, you can use an extender to stick on your bag and attach it to your skin. Being here in the Arizona desert, I know either will work in the heat. Not sure if the humidity will affect it.
