My mother is 2 years post total colectomy and has an ileostomy. As her body has healed and adjusted post-operatively, her ostomy needs and supplies have changed many times.
Currently, we're looking for a one-piece pouch with a convex flange and Velcro closing at the bottom.
Does anyone have a product recommendation?

I’m usually not one for “support groups” and loathe whatever the hell they call Facebook these days.
This site has literally been a lifesaver because of its members, part support group, part dad jokes, part story telling, mostly friendship and if people don’t agree they just keep it to themselves. I honestly reminds me of the old days and just plain old polite society, it helps me more than I can explain. I use a Convatec product that is a convex one-piece with Velcro at the bottom. If you talk to them, they can advise which product might fit best and send you samples.
I have an ileostomy and use a Hollister #8958. It is a one-piece with a soft convex flange and Velcro closure. If you call Hollister, they will send you free samples.

There's lots of different ones. Best to call for samples first. Everyone is going to be different on what works. I've tried a few over the years; just gotta go with what works best. The only number I still have is from Convatec. The reps are always really nice.

Coloplast customer here. They have a fantastic tool for determining your body shape, which suggests what they have best to offer. You can request samples right there.
I have a colostomy and use this same product. However, after trying the three available convexities, I realized there really is a difference—in comfort and effectiveness. I use the soft—lightest of the three, and like it very much. It really was trial and error, though.
