Looking for an item to disguise a bag under clothing. It's hot and humid where I live, and thin clothes are a must! All covers I have tried just “ride up” and end up supporting my boobs! lol. And they are too tight and restrict output.

I wear a tummy sleeve from a maternity shop.

A Velcro wrap or stealth belt would be the best option; it holds the bag firmly to the skin, hides how noticeable the bag is, and offers support to prevent developing hernias.

I’d like to write a nice review
that might express something quite new.
Then I read previous points of view,
which said the things I wanted to.
I would endorse the things I’ve read
about what other folks have said,
for these are the benefits and things
that joining a site like this can bring.
When I was an initiate, (novice)
it seemed to be appropriate
to express myself in rhyme
as this is how I spend my time.
When contemplating what to write
with contributing to this site,
it seemed to me, my ostomy
could be expressed in poetry.
Thus, when I had something to say,
a rhyme, for me seemed the best way,
for rhymes can often capture stuff
that prose don’t capture quite enough.
I do appreciate the way,
this site lets people have their say
in whatever mode they will
about the things that make them ill.
There are not many forums for
discussing stuff most folks abhor.
So, this site fulfils a small niche,
where angst and problems can unleash.
Where raw emotions can decant,
so, folks feel free to have a rant,
and we can all associate
is something I appreciate.

You need a belt with a hole to pull the bag through. That prevents it from moving too far. My belt stays put, but I have 2 ostomies; with 1, it might move a bit, but it can't go too far!

If you are not worried about a hernia, they make cute bag covers that just go on the bag. Try searching Etsy.

They do some funny ones on Amazon too.

I have found that the Stealth Cloak, discovered by watching videos, is a great product. While not inexpensive, it is very discreet, is treated with charcoal so it handles occasional odors, and can be washed in the washer 40 times on hot. I have had multiple positive comments on mine.

I have purchased ostomy bag covers from a great company called Spoonie Threads. They make covers that fit well if you follow their measurement guidelines. They have several solid colors and some wonderful patterns. The material is soft and comfortable, and the bags are waterproof for extra security. They are normally $20.00 each but are on sale for 2 for $30.00, and shipping is fast and free. They also sell ostomy wraps.

I've always worn singlets, tank tops, or camisoles, stretchy and fitted but definitely not restrictive (and they don't "ride up with wear," you can even get ones with a built-in bra), and they help smooth everything down so nothing shows regardless of what shirt or top I wear.

I even wore them before my ostomy as they can cover a multitude of sins, and you still feel and look fabulous!😊

I bought a really nice garment from Amazon. It's beige and very soft and comfortable. Corsinel Stoma-safe Plus Ostomy Support Garment.

Jo, I think it was you who replied to the post about holding the bag under a T-shirt when being intimate. You mentioned mini shower caps; I thought it sounded like a good idea. Do you mean children's shower caps? I can't find the post. By the way, I love your upbeat persona. Sarah

I've had my ostomy since I was 1 day old (birth defect). I've tried it all, and a thin tube top works the best. It stays up and isn't too tight. I wear it just over my abdomen and not my chest. This one works well for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0791LW1RX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1&psc=1.

I don't think it was me, but I have pulled down my cami/singlet over the bag area so there can be "access to all areas," so same thing I guess!

It definitely wasn't me with the shower caps. From day one, I have never tried to keep the bag dry when showering (or swimming). The bags are designed to get wet and dry off completely afterward. If you have trouble getting the bag completely dry, try a microfiber towel; they really zap the moisture out.

Oh, sorry, thanks for the info. I wonder if that was what was meant. I think she was from Australia and female, lol.

A couple of companies out there with ostomy covers are Ostomy Secrets and the other that used to custom-make them, cspouchcovers.com, but I don't know if they are still in business.

Ostomy knickers by Mark's and Spencer. They have made it so much easier to be social, go to work, etc...

I wear Coloplast Sensura Mio; they have silky covers already over them. They have light gray and now black. I've only ever had to wear normal briefs over them (instead of the bikinis I used to wear) and have never had a problem. I run, as I show dogs, and I live in Florida, so light, thin clothes are all I wear, and no one has ever noticed. (I've had my ileostomy for 17 years.)

Same bags as me, I have black, and yes, the silky-like material makes them so much less medical.

Sometimes I just wish the adhesive was a little stronger.

I also use the same bags. My ostomy nurse taught me to use bonding cement made for ostomy use to improve adhesion.

I use the Coloplast Brava moldable rings and light convex. The Brava ring sticks like glue; they really make a difference. I never have a problem. I've tried the silicone rings; they don't stick as well, and they irritate my skin.

Get a Slip on Stealthbelt. They come in different sizes, colors, and styles.
Note: when ordering, make sure you order one size larger than your actual waist size. Otherwise, it will be too tight. For example, I am a 34 waist, and I order a 36.
