Hi there,
This is Angel. I'm a scientist, and I have had an ileostomy for the past 4 months.
I had unexpected surgery last May. After facing surgery involving complications from peritonitis and a burst intestine, I ended up with an ileostomy and felt very lost in life at the beginning of my 40s.
I was diagnosed with diverticulitis, and part of my large intestine was removed.
After 4 months of waiting, I fortunately had a hernia, which prompted the reversal surgery. It was unfortunate but fair; otherwise, I had heard stories of people waiting for years to have the reversal.
Let's see how it progresses.
Cheers!

Thank you so much, bigal1579. I think I will wait awhile on the cherries and sauerkraut. LOL. I have gotten some good advice. Thanks to all that have replied. I sure am happy that I stumbled onto this website.
