Colonoscopy Update and Mixed Emotions

I had my colonoscopy on Thursday, and the doctor said I am on track for my 6-month reversal, which is in January. She was very happy with my general surgeon who did the emergency surgery and said that he left her plenty to work with.

I'm very excited about the opportunity to return to a “normal” life. But I have so many emotions. I'm nervous. I'm scared. I'm excited. And I also feel bad that not everyone gets this opportunity. I thought I'd be a lot more excited, but I seem to have a lot of guilt about leaving others, all of you, behind.

Hi Chrissy, no need to feel guilt; you've got the scars from a front butt, and you can still hang out with us and let us know how your recovery will go. Good luck.

Thank you so much, bigal1579. I think I will wait awhile on the cherries and sauerkraut. LOL. I have gotten some good advice. Thanks to all that have replied. I sure am happy that I stumbled onto this website.

Don't feel guilty. I'm glad you can get a reversal, but you will never stop belonging here. So many people ask questions about reversals that it's good to have some folks hanging around who've been through it.

No need to feel guilty; it's about you, not others.

It's great to see a success story. I hope you get all you wish for.
