I took some time to read up on some of y'all's posts on the pros and cons (more pros than cons) of having a stealth belt and also did some research about it, comparing it to others that are out there in the market. So after some debates with the three of me (me, myself, and I), I took the leap and just ordered one! I'm hoping that what I've read on it from those who swear by it, I too will be in the ranks to help others make an informed decision about this product. I believe that if there's anything that I can do to help inspire some confidence and freedom of sorts to someone with the same issues that we all share, I'll thank God and the mighty universe for pointing me in the right direction. I am so very happy to stumble upon this site. Y'all are amazing!

Good luck on using the belt. You did your research. It should work out for you. Let us know.

Haha! I like the me, myself, and I!

A stealth belt sounds new to me. I'll have to look it up.

Thanks, warrior. The belt is specifically made for each individual and is about 4 weeks out, and of course, I'll let the mates know how it works out.

Gvjac1, I give my full endorsement to Stealth Belt. As an active shipbuilder, fireman, and commercial fisherman, I don't leave the house without one on. Expensive? Maybe, but worth every dollar. Littlefish

Hmm.. if I recall, they asked which side the stoma was on and my waist size. When I received it, I tried it.. Nope. Gave it away. Just wasn't my thing. But glad you and others had positive feelings about it.

Everyone is different.

What was it that didn't work for you? Maybe it'll be something for me to watch for when I get it….🤔

This was a few years ago, mind you. I don't know what they do today. People love these things. I felt it was not allowing the stoma to poop properly. Maybe it was too tight? I didn't like the fabric or how you dump from the bag. I was new to this, so I didn't want to say anything. It might just be me.

I received other types of belts offered from various places. They too seem tight for me, not allowing a proper poop.

It felt like an elastic band around a balloon for me. Not that I'm fat. Ha ha. But feeling squished says it all.

Maybe that's normal? But... I don't like squish. 👎.

I've seen them brought up on here, and if they can help reduce leakage, I want one... plus I like the name, like I'm in for battle... oh yeah, we are, lol. I can see how they'd give far more support than the typical ostomy belt. Might anyone be able to compare them to the "wrap" that's not a belt, but wraps around your abdomen and back, please?

Thanks, I didn't see your post and asked how the "wraps" compared to the stealth belt. They're not too bad, but when your bag is full of it, or even worse, blown up with gas like a football, it gives new meaning to "battle of the bulge"!

I have it bookmarked for a future purchase. I can understand where Warrior is coming from. I have a couple of other belts and wraps. The trick is using them in the right conditions with the right appliances. Some hernia belts don't go well without a more rigid wafer. Tighter wraps don't work so well with a clogged or no filter.

I have never heard of a stealth belt either, and I've had a colostomy for over 28 years.
