Hi daddy g ...  you have had your colostomy for 6 months and you still have pain?  You should not be hurting dear.  Don't stress over it but please do speak with your doctor about this or better yet your surgeon...or both.  There is no reason you should be in pain and this matter should be looked into.  You will be ok, not to worry, but make that phone call.  Let us know how it turns out

I just wanted to tell all the users of this site that I really love having the opportunity to express my feelings here. I'm positive that many feel the same. I wish that all here come out of the experience you have here will be like mine. Support and understanding from others with issues similar like each other will help us all and give the relief we all crave, well, I'm selfish. I'm here because I need support. And I find enough here to help in the tough times. Thank you. I really mean it.

I also have a reversible colostomy,  when will they be reversing yours maybe you won't have to suffer much  longer.  My doc said it should be reversed 6-8 months after surgery. Is the pain from an irritation on the skin around the stoma?  Is the mucus burning it and causing bumps is the skin around the stoma turning colors. I did go through a skin irritation problem, but I am not sure if that's the problem you are having. There are skin care products that you can apply before the bag goes on that can heal most irritations.
