Hello. Hope everyone is doing well. I am scheduled for a reversal of my ilieostomy and I was wondering if anyone has had one and if they would mind sharing any experiences good or bad.

Mine is permanent, but my niece has had the reversal and is perfectly fine. She had no problems even with FAP condition. I think she has been very proactive about diet and probiotics etc.

If I was a relative newbie with an ostomy, I have no doubt that this site would be very helpful to me. The members are quick to respond to questions and issues and they are filled with experience. When I joined, I already had a lifetime with an ostomy, so I just regard it as a place to meet and communicate with other folks similarly situated. Either way, it is a good site.

I am new here but I had a failed J pouch and now have a traditional ileo - I don't know how to respond because there isn't enough info here - do you still have colon? why did you have the ileo? I had UC and lost my entire colon at 40. I had a J pouch for a year and a half with constant runs and cramps and urgency. It was just as bad as before the surgery. I am 66 now and still going - even with several revisions and problems with dehydration. Pleaase feel free to ask anything.
