Hello,  does anyone use pouch liners and if so, does it have any benefits?

I have and personally found them difficult and time consuming to use and just more trouble than they were worth. Vaseline on my base and lightly coated on inside of pouch makes cleaning and flow a breeze. Sincerely, rosiesmom

Thank you for your quick reply. I'll discuss irrigation with my doctor. I'm sure it would be down the road. My output is still very liquid. It's all so unpredictable at 6 weeks post-op. I have such a fear of constipation as I struggled with this forever. I used a fiber source to thicken the stool but it hasn't helped very much. I guess I will continue to be positive but it is a bit of a pain. This website is great and everyone is so informative. Cheryl

I  love them.  I've used them for about a year and a half.  They're convenient and easy to use.  I can change them out in about 30 seconds.  Benefits for me is that I can reuse my pouch for a long time.  I used a closed bag system and I love it.  Convenient because you flush them except for personal septic systems.
