Hiya,

wipe/wash et.c, gently, (your stoma will bleed easily) dry with

soft absorbant tissues and use a skin barrier protection around your

stoma edge, it gives like a thin 'plastic' film to stop 'stuff' getting to your skin.

Look up  cavilon barrier film 3344.

Best wishes,

steve

I just finished reading the Ostomy Tips Book under COLLECTIONS at the top of the page. I did not realize how much information was there. It covers a lot

of things that people have questions about. Hope this may answer some things for people. Best wishes and stay safe

Also you can try compound Benzoin tinture, its a skin protection and cost is cheap as you apply it with a Qtip and it goes a long long ways.. Can buy at a walgreens or probably most drug stores can get it for you if you ask , they got mine in the next day..
