My stoma and/or the area around it (hard to tell) hurts when i  "go". But I also have watery output and high output because it's a side effect of my chemo. But I dont know if it hurting when I go is normal. It's not a terrible pain but not pain free. More sore.

Very helpful

I don’t think you should have pain when you go. There are no nerves there to hurt so it just may be from irritation around the stoma. Your body is trying to dispose of the chemo drugs and whether is be I  urine or stool, it could irritate. The acidity May have increased. Does it look different as in different color, maybe a deeper red? I would talk to your stoma nurse or Doctor.

Great site..I have had an colostomy over 30 years..and have been thru skin rash around my stoma,hernias(2), leaks, odor control , needed clothing suggestions and this site has helped me with recommendations and many ideas worked!
I wish it was around 30 years ago. Thank you everyone!
