Ostomy and Barbie Butt Surgery

Ladies, this is for you.  After having Barbie Butt surgery, how do you pee? This sounds like a very painful surgery, so wondering how you even manage to make it to the toilet.  And if you do, how do you not pee on your new tush?  Surgery is happening this coming Monday, and it seems all I do is think about what I am going to be facing!

I am scheduled for a "Barbie Butt" surgery here in the very near future and am concerned about the recovery. Was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on how to prepare for the recovery from this surgery.

Hope someone can reassure me that this stump removal and barbie butt surgery is not going to be a living hell. I am having it done on 9/1/2022 and I am starting to get real anxiety about it.  Of course all your family and friends tell you that you will be fine (they have no clue) the first surgery sucked but hoping this one is not worse. 

Four weeks after surgery, I now seem to be getting nappy rash from the pads that I'm having to wear. Nothing seems infected. Does anyone else get nappy rash or any complications after having a barbie bum installed? I feel like all I'm doing is worrying about it. Sorry, this is so long, but y'all are the only ones I have to talk to about this. I've had my Loop sigmoid Colostomy since 6/4/2018. Ok, I got my date (again - was bumped the first time) for my rectum removal - Oct 25. (had ileo Dec 09).

Hi there, has anyone had long term issues with their surgery not healing?? I had mine 14 months ago! It was healed up to one very tiny spot. Dr. applying that silver sulfadiazine in the office once a month. It almost healed. Then that spot opens. Then two. He prescribed a compounded antibiotic ointment about a month ago that apparently has helped many of his patients heal fast.

Hi everyone, well, it's been a month since my surgery and the pain is still pretty intense, and I still can't sit. I still have some drainage. I feel like I should be much further than I am. I walked to the mailbox and started bleeding. If I try to sit for more than a few minutes, I bleed. At night, it REALLY hurts. Has anyone else had this problem? I could really use some encouragement.

Well, I got a call today with the surgery date. Why am I suddenly not feeling so brave?

Hey guys, I had my proctectomy or Barbie butt surgery two months ago. I was pretty much symptom free until I decided to do exercise. I was cleared to do so. after I exercised (running), I was met with intense stomach pain in my lower abdomen.

basically all my post surgery symptoms have come back. Mainly Intense pain near the rectal area. What should I do?

I'm getting my barbie butt stiches out today. Wish me luck :) My surgeon doesn't use dissolvable because he said they dissolve too soon and wounds come apart. So I'm just over 2 weeks post op and finally getting them out. Will let you know how it goes.
