Need Narrow Bag for Ileostomy Incision

Topic Explanation:
The forum topic is about a person who had an emergency ileostomy and is looking for a narrow bag that can fit over their stoma without touching their incision, which is not healed and tender.

Advice and Insights:
1. Seek advice from an ileostomy nurse or a wound clinic that also deals with Ostomates.
2. Consider cutting the flanges offset to make them fit.
3. Consult with a nurse specializing in ileostomy for personalized advice and fitting.
4. Ask the nurse about OPTICELL AG, a silver antibacterial gelling fiber wound dressing by Medline, which can be placed over the wound before putting the skin barrier on top.
5. Try trimming one side of the barrier device to see if it fits without touching the incision.
