Having the courage to move forward in your life!

This topic is about the journey of living with an ostomy for 20 years, dealing with depression, and finding the courage to move forward. It shares the story of someone who has faced many challenges, including battling Crohn’s disease, substance addiction, and the emotional toll of supporting a friend through addiction. Despite these struggles, she has found ways to help others and herself, becoming an ordained minister and embracing change. Here are some pieces of advice and insights from her experience:

1. Your actions already show great courage and value. Saving even one life is a testament to your strength and purpose.

2. Keep a positive mindset and have faith. Trust that new opportunities will come your way when you remain open to them.

3. Make a conscious choice to be happy. Avoid overthinking situations, focus on what is real, and steer clear of negative thought patterns.

4. Remember that setbacks are a part of life. Everyone experiences them, so when you fall, get back up. You are not alone in facing depression or life’s challenges.

5. Helping others, whether through ministry or everyday acts of support, amplifies your impact. Every life you touch is important.
