Help Needed - How to Use 2-Piece Sensura Click 2?

This topic is about using the Coloplast SenSura Click 2-Piece system, a type of ostomy appliance. The person who started the discussion received this product without any instructions and is looking for guidance on how to use it, as they are not familiar with two-piece systems and have trouble finding help online. Here are some helpful tips and advice shared by others:

1. Basic assembly:
- Align the pouch opening directly over the wafer opening.
- Start pressing the pouch flange into the wafer flange at one point and work your way around the stoma until it is fully engaged.
- You should hear or feel a distinct "click," similar to the sound of a Tupperware lid sealing.
- Use a hand-held mirror to check underneath and ensure the entire circumference is snapped together.

2. Practice before application:
- Practice snapping the flange and pouch together and pulling them apart several times off your body. This helps you learn the pressure needed and recognize the "click" before applying the wafer to your skin.

3. Troubleshooting lack of "click":
- Make sure both flanges are perfectly aligned and pressed evenly.
- Apply firm, even pressure all around the ring; sometimes the sound is faint.
- If you still don't hear a click, gently tug at different points to feel for a uniform seal. Any gap means it isn’t fully engaged.

4. Video search tip:
- Try searching for "Coloplast 2 piece SenSura Click 2 DBL MAX OPQPQ DBL MAX" (note the Q at the end) in a search engine to find demonstration videos. One suggested video shows how to tuck the used pouch into underwear during changes.

5. General user experiences:
- Many users find the system becomes simple with practice, although some caregivers have found it challenging to make the pouch click onto the wafer.
- Hearing or feeling the click is crucial for preventing leaks.
