Once the magic kicks in, you'll be going every 15 minutes or so, and it's like someone pouring hot coffee into your bag. You won't want to or will let it stay in there for long. You can't just lay around waiting for the bag to get “full”; go empty it each and every time because you never know how much is coming next. You won't get much sleep once it starts.

How much and how often will depend on how much is in there and your reaction to the prep.

A low-residue diet for 3 days prior to prep will reduce how much you need to clean out.

In my case, I have very loose output to start with. I'm on a long-term low-residue diet due to a different issue (long story). My output is often a bit explosive to start. I had 3 major explosions after the prep and a few smaller outputs. Then I was done. I went to bed and took the morning prep at some ungodly time like 3 a.m. There was more but not too bad.

I wear a 2-piece system and used a large drainable bag. Though I would be tempted to try the long irrigation bag next time.

Yeah wow, this site helped so much, I mean really who do you know with this infliction? No one, felt so alone and disgusted by myself every turn.
But it ended up being so damn strengthening, I got fucking moving, really only another choice.
That's
Honesty
Truth
I was damaged by a procedure and ended waking with this, I understand all of you.. perhaps you had to have it, I get it.. doesn't matter either way.
Just wanted to share that

I did buy the long irrigation bags; my output is very thick, but I know from prior colonoscopies it will get liquidy. I am so nervous about the prep with a bag, knowing what it is like without! I only have to prep in the afternoon and early evening, so hopefully in the morning I should be okay.
