Free ostomy supplies for those in need. Just ask; several of us are ready to share. We will PM you and keep your shipping info private. Other issues: 1. Do you keep a diary? 2. Before they expire, do you sell extra supplies on eBay, or do you send them to a non-profit that distributes to those in need? 3. What is your experience with TSA? 4. Do you have dry skin all over? 5. If you wear a flat wafer, do you keep a few convex barrier rings in case of sudden leaks?

Hey PETey, I think a diary is so very useful. Our situations are way too important for guessing what works or doesn’t. I made up spreadsheets for everything related to my meds like frequency of attention to the appliance, diet and weather conditions. Sounds nuts but almost everything affects almost everything else. Heat, humidity, stress, sausage and peppers, anger (which I never experience), outrage (which I regularly experience when following politics), and whatever else I can think of. If TSA refers to air travel I’m avoiding it for now so I’ve had no experience. I donate my extra stuff to a local hospital where they use it for educational purposes.

Nervous but excited about tomorrow. I have been reading some of the threads here and am brand new to the site. I am grateful to have had the ileostomy so my body had a chance to heal but am truly hoping all goes well with the operation and future.

I have a collapsed disk in my back and sleeping on it for the past 7 months because of the bag has caused me constant daily excruciating pain. I haven't slept through the night and have had so many accidents.

I am so glad I found this site. Gained so much information so I am much better prepared for what happens post operation and what worked for people diet and supplement (fiber) wise. Thank you for that.

Hey PETey, 1. I do not keep a diary. 2. I don't stock pile If I have a lot of extras I just don't order as much next time I do keep a couple of boxes ahead. 3. I donot travel. 4. I do have dry skin. 5. I have never used  barrier rings.

Hey,

well, that is a lot of questions! Lol

i do not keep a diary

i have loads of extra supplies but the shelf life is fives years and I have only had an Ostomy for two so I am safe. I prefer to give them to individuals in need. The reps from these companies supply hospitals and Ostomy units with all they want.
i travel but usually by ship and have not flown since I got my friend!

I have normal skin but dry in some places on occasion.

i do not use any barrier rings or prep for the flange. It always sticks well.
