Hello fellow Ostimates, how is everyone? I am heading off on holiday soon, going to Barbados. It's my 50th, so I decided to have a good holiday instead of a party where you invite people you don't really like but feel pressured into inviting (we have all been at them). Does anyone have any good tips for a urostomist when over there? I had problems 2 years ago in New Zealand with humidity; really hoping it won't be a problem this time, oh, and there are the dreaded mozzies too!

Hello Gordonc. I hope you have a great time in Barbados - it sounds far too hot for my liking. I also had problems with the humidity in the north island of NZ. but it is a very long country. the south of the south island is much more comfortable in that regard and Stewart Island ( right at the bottom) provided some of the best weeks of our stay partly because the temperature and humidity suited us so much better.Best wishesBill

I’ve only been on this site a little bit, I hardly know how to navigate it, LOL! I just want to say that everyone seems so kind and supportive to each of the members and it’s not only helpful, it makes me happy that there really are so many nice people in this world that can sometimes feel so bleak and cold. I didn’t even know about this site until I found it by accident. I think the hospital staff should bring it to their patients’ attention. Thanks to all, even if you’re just listening!
