Hello Endeavour2bnc.
I have not come across these products before but in the spirit of exploration I looked them up on 'Google' and below is an extract of a much longer article that came up!
Best wishes

Update: Evig LLC (Balance of Nature) resumed normal operations in November 2023.

Balance of Nature, a brand of so-called whole food supplements—Fruits, Veggies, and Fiber & Spice—are marketed as a Whole Health System that supplants some portion of the real whole foods people should be eating to stay healthy. Balance of Nature’s Utah-based parent company, Evig LLC, its manufacturer, Premium Production LLC, and two executives have been court ordered to  stop manufacturing and selling the products until they demonstrate compliance with FDA regulations.

In a news release, the FDA asserts that Balance of Nature’s products are marketed and labeled in a way that renders them “unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs.” Further, because Evig LLC never established ingredient and finished product standards for “identity, purity, strength, and composition” that would ensure each capsule contained what the packaging and ads claimed and nothing else, Balance of Nature products are also considered “adulterated dietary supplements.”

The permanent injunction provides Balance of Nature a pathway to resume operations, but it may be the final blow for the brand, which has a history fraught with lawsuits, warnings, and failures to comply with regulations and requirements.

Michael C. Rogers, the FDA’s Acting Associate Commissioner for Regulatory Affairs, stated, “We previously warned Evig LLC and Premium Production LLC, but they have demonstrated repeated violations of manufacturing requirements, and the public cannot have confidence that their products are what they purport to be. The FDA will continue to protect the U.S. public health by taking appropriate actions when companies violate the law.”

First impressions mean a lot.

Screw them. Thanks, Bill.

Time of research well spent.

Thought it was a stoma product. 🤦‍♂️

I hear their advertisements on the radio quite a bit. My opinion: There's no way to circumvent proper nutrition with a pill. Gotta eat a balanced diet.

As a kid, I remember when Nacho Cheese Doritos first came out. I quickly, happily munched a large, family-sized bag by myself. They were so good. The next 2 days... not so good.

Like my grandpappy, Joe Slappy, used to say, 'tween puffs on his corn cob pipe... "Everything in moderation."

In a news release, the FDA asserts that Balance of Nature's products are marketed and labeled in a way that renders them “unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs.” Further, because Evig LLC never established ingredient and finished product standards for “identity, purity, strength, and composition” that would ensure each capsule contained what the packaging and ads claimed and nothing else, Balance of Nature products are also considered “adulterated dietary supplements.”

While I could never handle swallowing 6 big capsules a day, this product is being hawked as better than sliced bread. But also remember that it is the same FDA, who, by the way, generally downplays natural products, who also allows artificial ingredients in people's food and infused water in fresh meat. Meet the pot calling the kettle black.

Hi End,

I used the Fruits and Veggies for about a year, but stopped because I wasn't seeing any difference. I probably wasn't a good candidate, though, as I eat a well-balanced diet. I'm just not really big on veggies, so I figured if I was missing something, I'd get it from Balance of Nature. But again, from a nutrition standpoint, my blood work was fine, so no specific deficiencies that needed attention. I also put my mom on Balance too when she was dealing with her treatment for lung cancer. She wasn't around long enough to determine if it made a difference or not... so no good data there.

I'd suggest you find out what deficiency you're trying to address by talking to a dietitian who specializes in why you got your ileo, get tested to have a baseline, and then see if Balance is your best option to address it. Recheck in a couple of months and see if it's solving your problem(s).

;O)
