Removing Vent Sticker After Shower Mishap

So, I forgot to take off the little sticky circle that I put on the vent on my device before my shower yesterday. I went to put on the circle today and found yesterday's still attached. Unfortunately, when I went to remove it after my shower today, I discovered it was going to take the entire vent thing off! So, I pushed the circle back on, decided if the vent wasn't going to be working I'd be better off just changing, and of course didn't have stuff with me. I'll go back later and do it; I just learned the hard way that if you don't remove it right after my shower, my body heat simply melds it all together permanently! LOL!!!

By the time I shower, the filter is no longer working anyway.

Lol. I never use those stickers at all. Maybe I should...

Never cover the filter in the shower myself and never found filters to be of much use.

I have never used stickies when I go under the shower - but then my filter stops working after 4 hours.

My husband has made me a shower guard; it's fairly simple, as he makes sturdy sing binder booklets for the fire brigade, and he uses one of the A4 plastic sheets he uses for the cover of the book. He uses a hole punch to make a hole in both sides of the long sides. I use an elastic to attach an old stoma belt to it, and when I go quickly under the shower this way, my bag does not get wet.
The thing is that I use Salts Aloe Vera flange extenders, and when they get wet, they become awfully sticky.

Really? I guess I'm lucky! I shower most mornings, and tearing the filter was the first time I smelled my bag through it! I mean, I can smell it when I open it or when it leaks, but most times I don't smell it.

I'm beginning to think I shouldn't bother!

I think the filters are more useful for colostomies.

I use Hollister, and they don't come with stickies 🤔. I've never had any issues either 🤷🏼‍♀️
