Hello, my name is Mark. I've had a urostomy for several years. My wife would like to become intimate again, but I'm afraid something might happen to my bag, and I don't want it to be a problem. I would appreciate your ideas on how to secure it so it doesn't become a problem. My bag is even with my belly button on my right-hand side.

Unless you're a wild man, it isn't coming off. Go enjoy.

No, I'm not a wild man, but my wife is really not enjoying it. Moving around, slapping her belly or anything, if you know what I mean. I'm just wondering how to kind of disguise it or secure it better.

Try a tummy sleeve from a maternity shop.

Wraps as already suggested. But perhaps cut down on your water intake for an hour or two beforehand. The ileostomates here will probably react in horror, but I know how quickly that bag fills and how heavy it gets. With a urostomy, you can probably tolerate mild dehydration for short periods.

G-Day Mark,

The lady has a thing called a boob tub, and it holds everything together. If you're a big guy, buy two of them and sew them together.

Regards, IGGIE.

I say don't concentrate on the mishaps of the bag/pouch. Things happen, can't even say sometimes! Rarely! If you're more in the moment and just let loose, not give two cares. It's about the connection with that special person. Just do it!

Hi Mark, I think the main thing is for you to feel that your bag is held securely enough against your body. If you feel confident with that, you can experience intimacy more easily. I have an ileostomy, so I don't know if urostomies are different, but if possible, empty your bag and fold it in half (or not), then use a wrap like others suggested. Underwear with strategic cutouts does the trick, too.

Honestly, you need the hydration to perform.
