Do you see the slightly discolored part of my stoma on the right side? Do I need to worry about this, or should I go get it checked?

The darker red part? Normal everyday look if you bump it on something or it gets compressed in a wrap or belt.

I take part in these forums almost every day. They and the people that contribute to them have made all the difference in my having the courage to live a normal life with an ileostomy. I agree with Alex. Mine will get little darker discolorations from time to time, in different spots, but they don't last. Probably just from a little friction, as the stoma itself is pretty delicate. It looks healthy to me.
