Avoid OstomySale.com for Medical Supplies – Poor Service and Management

Recently decided to check the net for better prices on supplies. I decided to place orders on OstomySale.com, and one other site. This is the first time, and the last! The site dropped the ball.

I had called them last Monday to ask if they could get the supplies to me by Wednesday or Friday at the latest; the guy on the phone asked where I lived, and then said "Sure," since they are located in an Illinois suburb about 25 miles from my home.

When I called the number on the site to follow up on the order, they asked, "What website are you calling?" Totally mismanaged, and rude. They told me they did not even process the order, much less ship it, and did not even know if said supplies were in stock. Yet on the website, they do not state "unavailable," and also they specify how they process and ship orders promptly. B.S.

I then read online reviews and saw several others that have stated similar problems, and how they believe the company is a fraud.

Suffice it to say I canceled the order since I needed and requested prompt shipment of supplies. I was running low.

I have been dealing with BEST BUY MEDICAL and should have stuck with a sure thing. They ship the stuff promptly and I always get it within 36 hours even though I do not pay for shipping, much less overnight. It was just that their prices have escalated the past few months. I wrote them over the weekend, and they emailed back saying they are going to re-evaluate their prices to be more competitive.

Anyway, regarding OstomySale.com - - - I asked for a refund last week, and today am still waiting for them to process it! I call them and they have no clue. I am sure most of us have enough to deal with without doing business with an online website purporting to be a medical supply company, but that at best is unprofessional and disorganized; and at worst is a sham or incompetent!!

Any online medical company I deal with (and about 85% of all my purchases, not just medical, I make online) has to be trustworthy, reputable and must at least sound like they give a damn about my order, and about my business when I call to inquire!

OstomySale.com --fails-- in all of the above. Suggest: stay away!

There is a site called Osto Group where you can get supplies for dirt cheap.There stuff has been donated by people who no longer need them . But they only except people whose medical insurance doesn't cover ostomy supplies. So if you are one of those people you may want to check out this site. www.ostogroup.org.

Try ostostore.com next time.  They are out of Georgia.  Great people and their prices are great!  Takes me about 2 days to get my supplies.
