Try smoothies.  I have created my own smoothies for several years.  I have tried the pre-packaged ones you find in the freezer section, but found that it's not only cheaper to put together my own recipies.  I primarily use frozen fruits (mandrin oranges, black cherries, pineapple), 1/2 of a banana (you can get tropical fruit blends in the frozen section that include bananas) and I avoid anything with seeds (strawberries and kiwi).  I also use Almond Milk/Coconut Milk and a fruit juice (I prefer Mango).  I add a Tablespoon of Greek Honey Yogurt and a scoop of Protien Powder.  I use this especially if I'm having gut issues and have difficulty with solid foods.  I have lost 30 lbs by having a smoothie for breakfast daily.  I will also sometimes have one in the evening during the summer just for the cooling effect.  There are plenty of websites and recipe books out there with recipes.  You just have to find what you like and what works for you.  Make sure you include physical activity.  Good Luck!

This site has been a blessing for me in learning how to cope with and navigate this journey as an ostomate. I have a colostomy as a result of a perforation in my colon since May of this year. I don't know yet if it will be permanent or reversible. The people on here have provided me with so much advice and information about living with an ostomy that I don't think I could get anywhere else. You all have given me hope and a place to come to for support. I still struggle with acceptance, but know that it will come if I am patient. Patience has never been my strong suit! Also, I love all the humor, although it really pissed me off when I first came on here. Thanks to all of you.
