When I had a loop ileostomy half the asparagus ended up in the bag, the other half went out the loop somehow.  I really wish I'd been able to see how that happened b/c that opening is not  big. All was well though, just weird.

It is SO darn good, but I only ate a dince. I have a bad habit of filling the pot from being married to an executive chef for 23 yrs. I' ll end up eating this until next Christmas.😹😸

How can to you stand the smell of asparagus let alone eat it??? LoL

My dad was a science teacher, he explained why in detail when I was very young. Another fun fact, when there is no kidney function, no stink. How about that!😸

I had to BUY IT, tho. I am used to picking it wild for free. Just not the same. I managed to choke it down tho!!!😋🥳

I cannot cook asparagus well...I don't enjoy cooking in general (more into baking), but that asparagus is not my friend so I only eat it when out. No matter what I try it ends up like an overcooked noodle and bitter.

I did over cook it, but it wasn't bitter. It was in cheese sauce with shrimp. Sooo good!😋😸

Not a fan either (but then again don't find any green vegetable very appealing!)

I don't believe even bacon can save it! 😅

Kitty, not sure if a lot of people feel this way or it's just me...but food always tastes better to me if someone else makes it ;)

It would take a bout  a pound of butter and maybe a good hunk of cheese...

hahaha I am trying to sneak turkey bacon in a recipe I have to make this weekend...we'll see if I have any protestors...my son will definitely be one of them if he catches on

I can't get the cats or puppy to cook for me. Stripped pants did bring me a dead mouse for my birthday tho. Lol

I think I used about half a lb of butter in the sauce ..

Always your chioce.  Asparagus is very fiberous.  Small bites & chew well. OR  You might end up in the ER.  Any general surgeon can put a flexible scope down your Ostomy & unblock it.  I stated eating "over steamed" veggies last yr.  No issues.
