Oh, how horrible and humiliating for that poor ostomate!

Hello fellow ostomates, my life has changed since I met this wonderful French Canadian lady on this site on 3-17-2013. We were married on 12-20-2014 in Phoenix, AZ.

Wonder if it was a one-piece system? I use a two-piece Hollister.

Right after I clear TSA, I put on a new pouch. I always have a couple of new pouches, disposal bags, and a bottle of M9 with me on the plane. After takeoff, if I hear any tummy rumbling or notice any excess output, I shuffle off to the loo. Hollister pouches can hold a lot of output. I always wear a Hollister bag retention belt and use an IGGIE clip. I have to be careful of the seatbelt. It goes right over my stoma. I force the belt down and leave it slightly loose.

That really sucks! That poor person. Can you imagine? And they go and make news out of it. How sad is that?

Slow news day... that's why.

I imagine many people looked up to discover what a colostomy bag is.

On future travels, if the passenger in front of me reclines their seat way back, I'll whisper: "I've got a colostomy." 😇
