I have had an ileostomy for two years now, and I am starting to see little red and white lumps on my stoma. What is the cause? They are not bleeding. Thanks, Peter.

G-Day Daddy,

Have you talked to your stoma nurse or doctor?

Regards, IGGIE

Possibly granulomas. I would put a blob of Sudocrem on them if it were me. I know the health care system is different in Ireland compared to the UK's. If you use a home delivery service for your products, do they have a stoma nurse you can speak to or see?

I am scheduled for my reversal on 12/4. All my pre-admin stuff is completed and my GI signed off on the clearance letter this morning. I am super excited and looking forward to not having a bag. I just hope all goes well and heals well so I don't wake up with a temp bag which will lead to yet another surgery.

I have learned a lot from this website and will continue to be on here even after surgery. To all the ostomates out there, keep your heads up and keep pressing forward. We all have good and bad days. Best of luck to you all.

I will be sure to post my progress after surgery. I'm praying for you all.

Went to a stoma nurse; she said it was a small granuloma but nothing to worry about at the minute. She said to keep an eye on it and come back if it is annoying me, gets sore, or bleeds.
