Well, after a double-length stay and two operations, I'm finally home. Well, I got home yesterday, but I was so tired 😴 that I didn't post.

Hopefully, after being rushed back into surgery, I'm finally now on the mend and can look forward to getting on with Sylvester Stalloma and moving on from all this.

The recovery from this Ken bum surgery has been brutal so far, but I guess the only way is up now.

Geekyjen,

Thanks for the reply.  I will be seeing my doctor on Friday and mention Entyvio.  I did not remain paralyzed for more than 2 days, but it was terrible and I was so scared.  The doctors just used alot of xanax and other drugs like that to UN paralyze my joints that were being attacked by the remicade.  Turns out I have been diagnosed with LUPUS. It is attacking my nervous system.  I had ulcerative colitis in 1996 and they had to remove my colon.  Had a J pouch for 10 years, until it started failing.  I then got a permanent iliosomy, and I suffer from severe chronic diareha, and I dehydrate frequently.  I recently had a proctectomy, and that is when the new autoimmune disorder, Lupus, appeared.  I have had two hospital stays now because of the blisters and the paralyzing incident.  I will be dealing with this forever now.  I have just been working on acceptance.

I love this website because of wonderful people like you!

Sorry it didn't go the way you hoped. I bet you feel better just being home.

Glad to hear you are home. Recovery may be brutal, but it's a one-time thing. Focus on how it will improve your quality of life overall.

I have not had that surgery, but if my doctor said I should get it to prevent cancer recurrence, I would not hesitate. Better a brutal surgery than cancer.

So glad you're home! There really is no place like it, is there? Take it easy, and don't push yourself. Time is on your side now.

Well, changing my own dressing on my ass is rather entertaining for someone to witness 🤦‍♂️

Trying to force myself to rest, but I'm not the kind of person to sit still 😂

Kind of itching to get back to work, but I know that's not possible because even with a gel cushion, I still can't sit up.

Mr. B,

Now is the time to let it heal right through, not just what you can see but the inside as well to heal. You said after surgery you were up the next day; well, that's why you opened up, so learn from it and really take it easy.

Welcome home. Try taking time to heal. You don't need to go back to the hospital.
