Wondering if many of you have tried garlic for Crohn's/UC?
When my Crohn's was at its worst I could not tolerate garlic, but about a month ago I started taking one 2000mg odorless garlic tablet a day. I believe it has helped. One thing in particular I've noticed is less bleeding with my stoma. I suspect the garlic is really helping with the Crohn's.
   Any experience using this?

Garlic is one of the most potently wonderful things we can feed our body and its health benefits are broad spectrum.....raw or stir-fried or baked in certain ways when it is still strong can be rough at times with some people.....but.....if you peel your garlic cloves to get all those skins off, the fresh organic ones whenever possible, then place them in a small kettle with a cup of water and boil them until they are entirely cooked and soft, you can eat the entire garlic chunks without lighting up like a light bulb, AND,

you take the water you boiled them in (never waste that) and add all of it to any soup of your choice and drink that potent elixir down the hatch.......you then still have great benefit for health but rarely anything that will bother you ...xoxo.....give it a try??

Garlic is also used for healing topically as well as its internal benefits...raw garlic sliced in half and (yes there is a temporary sting) but then band aid or gauze taped securely into place AFTER rinsing area and using aloe vera plant ........ Garlic is truly something we can be creative with, both internally and externally for our health benefits and there are ways to 'calm that beast' ....... here is one of many pages that list only a few, but helpful info regarding garlic and good reminder of why it's a good idea to keep it in our life if we can

Nervous but excited about tomorrow. I have been reading some of the threads here and am brand new to the site. I am grateful to have had the ileostomy so my body had a chance to heal but am truly hoping all goes well with the operation and future.

I have a collapsed disk in my back and sleeping on it for the past 7 months because of the bag has caused me constant daily excruciating pain. I haven't slept through the night and have had so many accidents.

I am so glad I found this site. Gained so much information so I am much better prepared for what happens post operation and what worked for people diet and supplement (fiber) wise. Thank you for that.
