How to Prevent Your Drainage Bag from Twisting Overnight?

sometimes my bag that drains to overnight bag twists shut causing back up resulting in a flood .any suggestions?

If yu have a urostomy? Your tubing is too stiff so when you turn over and over it will sometimes shut the valve off. Mine did the same thing until I put a short piece of latex hose and have not had that problem since. Hope this helps you.

Thank you for your quick reply. I'll discuss irrigation with my doctor. I'm sure it would be down the road. My output is still very liquid. It's all so unpredictable at 6 weeks post-op. I have such a fear of constipation as I struggled with this forever. I used a fiber source to thicken the stool but it hasn't helped very much. I guess I will continue to be positive but it is a bit of a pain. This website is great and everyone is so informative. Cheryl

Where would you attach the latex hose ?

Just splice it in to the hose that that you now use it only takes about one foot of the latex hose. Just put it at the top and connect it to your bag. Hopes this helps you.
