Me too, sorry... I've resorted to gel lidocaine on occasion.

Stallion 71, you could try Tucks rectal wipes just a cap on your stoma to take a break from the wafer pouch, while you're hanging around the house. It gives your area a break. Plus, you can try some petroleum jelly on your stoma, just don't block up the hole. Watch the wafer area, 'cause it won't stick! Good luck!
