What does blockage feel like? I don't think that's the pain I'm feeling, since my output has been normal. I keep getting this weird pain under my ribs, last week it was on my left side, yesterday and today it's on the right side. When it first started yesterday, it didn't hurt as much, but as the day went on, it got worse and when I finally got home and was able to lay down, there was a lot of gas, I was having to burp my bag every 5 mins. After about 30-45 mins the gas stopped, but the pain is still there. It hurts to take deep breaths or sneeze, and it sometimes hurts to walk so I have to be careful with my steps.

If I was a relative newbie with an ostomy, I have no doubt that this site would be very helpful to me. The members are quick to respond to questions and issues and they are filled with experience. When I joined, I already had a lifetime with an ostomy, so I just regard it as a place to meet and communicate with other folks similarly situated. Either way, it is a good site.
