Has anyone had issues eating soy sauce with their ileostomy?

Nope, I don't have any issues eating it with noodles or rice.

Sodium is good for you. 😃

I have a colostomy, so it is quite different from an ileostomy. I enjoy soy sauce all the time with rice, fish, and sushi. I also mix in some horseradish for spicy hotness.

No problems with the stoma or output.

No... have you? Try everything in small amounts at first to see how it goes.

Yup, I purposely use soy sauce often for the sodium due to ileostomy. 👍🏻

Why do you ask???

Soy sauce = lots of sodium. Sodium = good for ileostomy. No problems here. Are you trying to isolate an issue?

Never had a problem with soy sauce. Are you experiencing a problem such as leaking that you're trying to find the possible cause?

But not too much - watch that blood pressure! :)

I don't know why I haven't thought of this good tip.

No colon here, so I'm pretty safe when it comes to sodium intake. 😁 I have more issues with it getting too low.

Fresh horseradish is so good.

I am new to the ileostomy and introducing new foods. Just wanted to get thoughts on it as I was craving Pick Up Stix. LOL

I enjoy "Pick up Stix" quite a bit. Have one conveniently near my house. Doesn't cause any trouble with my colostomy. Even toss on the hot mustard (a little though).
