I got the colostomy on 9/29/22 and had it taken down on Monday. Just got home. I know there are bumps ahead and my abdomen is just about the ugliest mess you've ever seen, but I am one very happy woman today. I have not posted much, but I have read a lot of the comments here, and they really helped me through this period. Thank you to all the kind, brave men and women going through this journey with me.

This site was a true lifeline when I first became a member back in 1997. The support I received during the time of a critical time in my life.was greatly needed. Woo hoo! Congrats! Hey, I thought the same thing when I got home and looked in the mirror after my reversal, but as the swelling comes down, it's not as bad. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Take care, remember gentle healing, your body went through a lot.
