It's been a while since I've posted - been on a social media sanity break. When I did check in, I had over 260 unread posts, and instead of trying to reply to them all, I thought I'd say welcome to all the new folks on the site!

You have found yourself in a club nobody wants to be in. But in my case, as with many others here, we would not be alive without our stomas, so here we are.

When I had my surgery, this place was a true lifesaver for me. The kindness, caring, encouragement, and support I received allowed me to heal and reach acceptance of my new life. No question is too weird, believe me. So ask away!

To those I've been in contact with in the past, I hope you are all doing well!

Hard to believe we are in July already. Been a busy summer here, with swimming, my grandkids, and Saturday a surprise 85th birthday party for my dad. I've invited friends he has not seen in person in over 10 years. Should be fun! A lot of work, but so worth it.

Take care, all!

Glad to hear you are having a fun summer. Surprise parties are so much fun, especially when you can bring together friends that haven't seen each other in person for a long time. Glad you can go swimming too and hang out with your grandkids. This site is a great place to hang out and learn so much. I like getting feedback and giving feedback. It is a lifesaver. And yes, we all belong to a club that maybe we didn't wish for, but here we are, living and loving life.

I just finished reading the Ostomy Tips Book under COLLECTIONS at the top of the page. I did not realize how much information was there. It covers a lot

of things that people have questions about. Hope this may answer some things for people. Best wishes and stay safe
