These pants work well with an ostomy. They are high-waisted, polyester, and cotton and have nice side pockets. The negative is the price. I only buy them on sale.

And one size larger to conceal the bag and give it room to grow.

Are you able to give us more info? Like where they are sold? Or is that not allowed here?

Hi there! Ken here from Palmerston North, New Zealand.

Do they make pants for men too? I have been searching for 5 years to find high-waisted pants. I reverted to wearing braces, but the waistline of my slacks still restricts the function of the bag.

We can send spacecraft billions of miles out into the cosmos, but we fail miserably in producing bespoke clothing for ostomy sufferers!

Geekyjen,

Thanks for the reply.  I will be seeing my doctor on Friday and mention Entyvio.  I did not remain paralyzed for more than 2 days, but it was terrible and I was so scared.  The doctors just used alot of xanax and other drugs like that to UN paralyze my joints that were being attacked by the remicade.  Turns out I have been diagnosed with LUPUS. It is attacking my nervous system.  I had ulcerative colitis in 1996 and they had to remove my colon.  Had a J pouch for 10 years, until it started failing.  I then got a permanent iliosomy, and I suffer from severe chronic diareha, and I dehydrate frequently.  I recently had a proctectomy, and that is when the new autoimmune disorder, Lupus, appeared.  I have had two hospital stays now because of the blisters and the paralyzing incident.  I will be dealing with this forever now.  I have just been working on acceptance.

I love this website because of wonderful people like you!

In England, I have bought high-waisted pants from a company called Chums that go over my colostomy and have a drawstring to fasten the waist.

The pants are made by Saint + Sofia. Use this name to do the internet search.

These are made by Spier & Mackay for a dressy day. Also, I always go one size up to give the bag room to grow. If you purchase anything off the internet, make sure the store has a good return policy: full refund if returned within 30 days. These are called high-rise trousers.

These are more casual and made by the Boot Barn.

I found this picture in the Wall Street Journal. The headline was high-waisted pants are back in style, but boomer men may not like them, which is crazy because this style looks great on both men.

If you look up CUI where they make male underpants, or if by pants you mean trousers, try the brand Chums. Hope that helps.
