Hi. Can anyone give me advice on natural ways to "
slow the flow " of my ileostomy. I am currently
taking opium tincture, imodium, and pepto bismal
to try and keep from having to empty every two
hours on average. They had to remove more of my
small intestine than ideal. This surgery occured 3

Now that I have learned to use a clip, I have a
new dilemma. How do I empty and rinse it out?
Unlike 'roll ups', bags with clips do not have

open and hold while you rinse your bag. With
clip bags I find myself holding onto a piece of
flaccid plastic, no way to open it, impossible to
gain purchase to pour water in it to rinse.

I had bladder removal surgery Jan. 10, so I am new
to this experience. I use a 9" pouch, and it seems
to me I have to empty it oftener than I want to. I
can only go a little more than an hour between
emptying. I haven't done any traveling; however, I
want to take a trip soon that will involve about 3
hours of driving with difficulty finding a place
to empty the pouch. Any suggestions on making ...
