Seems I have a few questions these days.

Has anyone suffered with the wall of skin around the stoma collapsing? And if so, how was it sorted?

Many thanks,

Is it like a moat all around the stoma??

If yes, it's quite common. You shouldn't need any surgery; it will heal by itself, but it's very painful. Mine took about 6 weeks to heal. Some nurses used to pack it with Sorbsan, I don't think it helped.

The moat around my stoma came from using too much adapt paste around my wafer, and it pushed the skin in to form a moat. Then the crap seeped down inside and burned the skin. Now I just put a fine bit of paste on the bottom of the wafer at 5-6-7 o'clock where the crap drops down into the bag. The moat is gone and no rash. Nice.
