Does anyone in here have a spinal cord injury, have an ileostomy, and fly to travel? I'm facing an ileostomy and am very concerned about how I'll fly given that I can't get up to use the restroom to empty bags. Thoughts?

Amy, tips for flying for 10-12 hours with a colostomy?

Hi, I'm 18 days post-surgery, and I'm finding myself only wanting to have soups and liquids still. I cooked some mashed potatoes and added rice this time, so it's like double mush, and I'm planning to cook some fish tomorrow to try for the first time since my surgeon said it would be fine. I've always used the barrier wipes, but I'm thinking about trying the spray. Does anyone else use the spray?

As I said in my previous post, I wanted to chat about irrigation with anyone whose experiences might clear up some things I am still a bit foggy on.
I have been looking into irrigation for quite a while now - I was cleared by my surgeon to try irrigation, I have read stuff here and a bit elsewhere on the web, watched the YouTube videos, etc. - so what's holding me back?

Hi everyone! I have a new problem. I went for a colonoscopy to evaluate whether I am able to have a reversal of my colostomy. He was unable to do it through my stoma because it is too small to do with the equipment they had there and now I have to be rescheduled at the hospital where they have pediatric equipment. Has anyone out there experienced this!? Thanks for your help

I've had my ileostomy since January and have been adjusting just fine.

I started to get a lot of itching about 3 weeks ago and soreness. I saw my surgeon, and she advised antifungal powder. I've been using that and the ostomy powder and forming a crust. This is my first World Ostomy Day. Thanks to you all for sharing your experience with me. It has helped me so much. Six months out of an emergency surgery that was unexpected and left me with my stoma has been rough, but I have learned so much from you all.
